I love infused water probably more than water in its natural state. I loathed drinking water daily but infused waters give me life!!!!!! Of course there are tons of recipes that you can Google but I love just adding fruits to my water and occasionally I'll add fresh mint leaves.
To be honest, when I first started drinking infused water, I thought it was just a cute way to drink water to stay hydrated. I was not aware of the many benefits that you gain from it. Here are a few benefits from drinking infused water below:
Hydrates your body even the more because of the fruits that contain water in them
Helps with weight loss
Experience less joint strains
Promotes smooth and healthy skin
You will drink more because of the flavorful taste bud
Supports your metabolism
Offers more nutrients
Alternative to drinking sugary drinks like juice and sodas
Prevents kidney stones
If you've never drank infused water, start off with a basic recipe such as adding slices of lemon and cucumber or slices of oranges and limes. But start with something simple, with about two or three ingredients. Keep a journal of how your body feels after a week or two of drinking infused waters, I promise you will notice a huge difference. You definitely want the infused water to sit for awhile to gain the most benefits from it and to increase the flavor.
I've seen infused waters in hotel gyms, restaurants and a host of other public places. I recently started adding veggies to my infused waters, such as bell peppers. May sound weird but it's actually not bad mixed with lemons, oranges, limes, strawberries and blueberries. But other veggies such as carrots and celery can also be added to your infused waters as well as herbs and spices.
You can purchase mason jars but there are a variety of plastic cups that are made for infused waters that are sold online in Amazon or at your local Walmart. When I worked in a jail, I carried my water in a plastic cup because we couldn't have glass cups in the jail of course.
